40th Anniversary
As you know, Andrew and Elise (Pop and Mom, Poppy and Nanny) are extruciatingly difficult to surprise.
However, us kids were able to 'pull one over' on them.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving, at a brunch that Andrew & Elise were throwing, we hijacked it and turned it into a surprise 40th anniversary party, complete with cake, presents and cards !
And they WERE surprised!

It could not have been better...Elise and I are still basking in its warm glow...What wonderful children and their spouses...How did they get to be so thoughtful and kind???????(I think from their mother)

It was a wonderful party, a huge surprise, and what Jamie didn't mention was the "Memory Book" A wonderful compilation of letters from Family and friends about us as a couple. Many people wrote nice letters, but our sons and their wives wrote such sweet ones, that I still can't reread them without shedding tears of joy!
Since we can't go back and live life over ... it's nice to know that our children liked the way they were raised. Wow! Thank you, Lord, for guiding us along the way.
